BooKit for tour companies
Run every tour from one place.
Online booking, guides, check-in, resellers, reviews and the numbers, all in one system. Built inside a working tour company that runs tours every night, so it handles the busy nights, the no-show guides and the rain.
- $0a month to start
- Your Stripepayments go to your own account
- 5 languagesfor guests: EN, ES, FR, DE, PT
- No feeon reseller bookings or ones you take
Réservation
A booking form that sells while you sleep.
Guests pick a date, a time and their tickets on one page, see the price add up as they go, and pay by card in a minute. Their ticket goes straight to their phone.
- Live seats everywhere. One seat count for your site, bookit.tours, resellers and the office, so a tour is never oversold.
- More in every basket. Ticket types, add-ons and extras, deposits, promo codes, gift cards, memberships and bundles.
- Tour pages that answer questions. Photo galleries, FAQs, what’s not included, pickup points and the meeting spot.
- Private tours and minimums. Guests can request a date for a private group, and a time can need a minimum number of guests to run.
- In the guest’s language. English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese, from the form to the emails and Stripe’s checkout.
- Paperwork done before they arrive. Waivers signed on the phone, waitlists for full times, and reminders with the meeting spot.
bookit.tours
Guests find you on the market.
Your tours are listed on bookit.tours next to tours from other local companies, with a search that forgives typos and a Near me button that sorts tours by distance.
- Search that just works. “st aug”, “ghost sav” or “savanah” all find the right tours and cities.
- Near me. Closest tours first, with the distance on each. The guest’s location stays on their phone.
- Reviews you can trust. Only guests who were checked in on the tour can review it, with a title like on Tripadvisor, and you can reply.
- Saved tours. Guests tap the heart to keep a tour for later.
Your website
Your own website books too.
Put a tour’s booking form, a calendar of every tour, or a Book now button on your own site. It’s the same form, the same checkout and the same emails as on BooKit.
- WordPress? Install the BooKit Booking Form plugin and paste a short code on each tour page.
- Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or anything else? Copy each tour’s code into an embed block. No plugin needed.
- Your colors. Match your brand’s color, fonts and corners, light or dark.
- Guests come back to you. After paying, guests land back on your website, not ours.
Command Center
It tells you what needs doing, before it goes wrong.
BooKit watches tonight and the next 7 days and lists every problem with a fix you can approve in one tap. Nothing changes until you press the button.
- Guides. A tour with guests and no guide, a guide who’s double-booked or not certified: BooKit suggests who’s free.
- Seats. Too few guests to run? Move them to the nearest time with room and tell everyone.
- Weather. Rules for each tour against the National Weather Service forecast, with a plan ready: refund, rain check or move.
- Money and paperwork. Unpaid bookings, overdue invoices, refunds waiting, card disputes, missing waivers.
- Autopilot (Plus). Each evening, Claude prepares tomorrow’s plan and says why. You approve it.
On the night
Tonight, under control.
Live shows every tour as it happens: checking in, underway, running late or done. Guides check guests in from their phones and send the office a request in one tap.
- Dispatch board. Five columns that update by themselves, and a live map of guides who share their location.
- Check-in from any phone. Scan a QR ticket or tap a name. Walk-ups and no-shows are counted for you.
- Guide requests. Running late, need help, guest problem: they show at the top of Live with a Call button.
- The Tour Companion. Your stories, photos and map on guests’ phones, following the guide, with live captions and the guide’s voice live (GhostCast).
- Safety reports. Guides report incidents with a location; urgent ones reach the office straight away.
Guides and staff
Guides who always know where to be.
Every guide has their own portal on their phone: their tours, their guests, their pay. The office sees coverage for the weeks ahead and who can fill a gap.
- Availability, days off and shift swaps. Guides mark their days; BooKit warns you before you’re short.
- Call-outs find cover. A guide who can’t make it presses one button; BooKit asks free, certified guides until someone takes it.
- Training that counts. Lessons with quizzes in the Academy; passing can give the tour’s certification.
- Clock in, checklist, report. A readiness checklist before the tour and an end-of-tour report after it.
- Pay, tips and gear. Payroll per tour or per hour, tip sharing, bank payouts by Stripe, and the gear and vehicles each tour uses.
Participants
Know every guest. Write to them in seconds.
Every guest has a profile with their bookings, what they’ve spent and every email BooKit sent them. Write to one guest or a whole tour with saved replies and fill-ins.
- One history. Bookings, changes, emails, texts and reviews, newest first. VIPs and notes show on the manifest.
- A composer everywhere. Saved replies, fill-ins like {first_name} and {meeting}, a preview of the exact email, and text it too.
- Resend anything. The confirmation, reminder, follow-up, invoice or cancellation, as it would go out.
- Bring them back. A returning-guest reward at checkout, your mailing list, and a follow-up that asks for a review.
Resellers and partners
Sell everywhere. Oversell nowhere.
Viator, GetYourGuide and OCTO resellers book from the same seats as your own site. Affiliates get a link and a code, and you see exactly what each channel earns you.
- Connected by BooKit. Viator, GetYourGuide and any OCTO reseller, with live times and prices.
- Affiliates and concierges. A link and QR code each, their commission worked out, and paid to their bank by Stripe.
- Partner tours. Bundle your tour with another company’s on BooKit; the seat is booked in their system.
- Profit by channel. What each channel really brings in after commission.
Reports
Numbers that tell you what to do next.
Revenue works out what’s likely to come in over the next 7, 30 and 90 days, which times sell out, and where a price change would help. Nothing changes until you press a button.
- A forecast you can read. A likely range, with what’s already on the books and how much history it used.
- Pricing ideas. Times that sell out early (try 10% more) and times that stay empty (a last-minute discount), one tap to a pricing rule.
- Fill empty seats. Draft an email to your list in that city with a code for that tour.
- Pace and exports. This month against last year, accounting exports and CSV downloads.
